CZECH ERA Stradivarius Copy, 4/4 circa 1929, Resonant Response w/ a Sweet High-End The body is thinner than many earlier Strad copies. It has modern depth in its tone box. Yet, it has an authentic Czech-Era sound with terrific depth of resonance and quick responsiveness. The sustain on the bass notes is remarkable. This one may be better for Bluegrass or Jazz where its attributes are appreciated most. The violin has a solid Ebony fingerboard and Rosewood pegs combined with a few newer fittings. There is a new variegated Ebony tailpiece inlaid with a shell flower set on a brass stem, and a comfortable new Guarneri-style Ebony chin rest added. The violin includes a form-fitted and arched hard-shell case and a bow with ample hair. It is in good used condition for 80+ years and has signs of use and mild wear with a small repair to the bass side edge, some small scratches, a couple tiny nicks to the finish, and some varnish touch-up or refinishing.
