This auction is for a GARHAUER DOUBLE FIDDLE BLOCK, 5/8″ LINE, GOOD CONDITION. USED. THE CHEEK HAS A BEND NEAR THE TOP AND THE BECKET IS OFFSET. NUMEROUS SCRATCHES. I DON’T BELIEVE ANY OF THE DEFECTS WILL AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE BLOCK. ALL 3 SHEAVES ARE WITHOUT DEFECT AND SPIN FREELY. READY TO GO. I THOUGHT IT WAS A TRIPLE BUT WAS CORRECTED WITH THE FOLLOWING this is a DOUBLE fiddle block with becket. The two upper sheaves replace a single large sheave, spreading the second pass of the line far enough to prevent rubbing against the first pass of the line over the bottom sheave. It makes for a shorter overall profile than using a single large diameter sheave above the lower sheave.i.e., the line ties to the becket, runs down to the sheave of another block, then back up & over the bottom sheave and down to the other block, then up and over BOTH the upper sheaves and back down to the lower block and out to a cleat or something.
