The patch measures approximately 4.0″ in diameter and has (7) seven different vibrant embroidered colors. The Texas State Flag: The Texas flag represents the sovereignty and independent spirit of the State of Texas and its citizens. The BLUE stands for LOYALTY, the WHITE represents PURITY, and the RED is for BRAVERY. The white “LONE STAR” represents ALL of Texas and stands for our UNITY as one for GOD, STATE, and COUNTRY. The Blue Field Surrounding the State of Texas: The blue field represents stability. It symbolizes TRUST, LOYALTY, WISDOM, CONFIDENCE, INTELLIGENCE, FAITH, TRUTH, and GOD. The Gold Star: The gold star symbolizes the jurisdictional boundaries of the HARRIS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE within the great State of Texas.
