eBay Hello. Here is for sale one excellent Audiophile quality real Japan made CD Player made by Pioneer, Japan, model PD-S901. This model features famous Stable Platter mechanism and Legato Link DAC. Stable Platter requires you to insert CD upside down since laser mechanism located above not below CD as in regular players. Legato Link DAC is excellent and gives you the best analog sound from a digital source. Player has both RCA output to connect directly to the preamp and Digital Coaxial to connect to outboard DAC. I always preferred analog output on this one, but your taste might be different. I am the second owner,bought it about 5 years ago as a back up player just in case I will need to replace my Enlightened Audio CD Transport,or at least swap the laser assembly in case of failure. So, I almost never used it and it was sitting in a box in my garage. I don’t think I need it anymore, therefore offering it for sale. The unit has a small ding on the top left corner of the face plate (hardly noticeable from the distance) and can be touched up with black marker, there are no other blemishes, unit is in EXCELLENT operational condition. I do not have original box, but do have manual and remote, which shows signs of wear but fully functional. Power cord is attached. I will safely pack for shipping,but will prefer local pick up due to fragility of the unit. This unit is an European model and is for 220V operation,so if you like me are in USA, you will need a step up transformer, which are very inexpensive and plenty on eBay or Amazon. Please,be advised that this is a VINTAGE unit, performs as new, but sold AS IS due to its age- made in 1992. Guaranteed not DOA. Unit has been checked before packing. Final sale with NO returns.
