SIGNAL INJECTOR HARMONIC GENERATOR SENCOMP HG-1A NICE REPLACEMENT FOR THE SENCORE HG 104WHICH IS NO LONGER MADE AND VERY HARD TO GET IN DECENT SHAPE The Sencomp HG-1 will inject a signal rich in harmonics for circuit testing in Tube and Transistor radios Tube and Transistor Audio Amplifiers of all types.Freq. approx. 1 kHz. Tone. Signal output voltage adjustable from 0-4V P-P.The output of the signal injector uses blocking capacitors rated at 1KV.Current draw when ON is less than 10 mA.Powered using a 9V battery, it’s very safe to use, no problems with AC ground/neutral hook-up mistakes that could cause damage.Includes a trouble shooting chart.All components used in the HG-1 are through hole and are readily available. A signal injector is a very useful and quick troubleshooting tool for signal tracing in a circuit. Using it can quickly determine the faulty stage of a radio receiver, for example. The signal injector can be applied to the speaker output, and if you hear the signal you can move to the preceding stage of the circuit. In this case an audio amplifier, and if you again hear the injected signal, you move the signal injection up the stages of the circuit until you no longer hear it, potentially letting you know where the problem lies. The old faithful Signal Injector oscillator with harmonics into virtually infinity is a must have on your bench. Assuming a person needs a repair on a guitar amp, the cost will depend on what is wrong with the amp and how difficult the repair will be. Generally speaking, most guitar amp repairs will cost between $50 and $200. However, if the problem is very complex, the repair could cost more than $200.
