All comics here are in archival sleeves with backing boards, and are in full color. Whether or not an “allow offers” switch is available, and it isn’t on variation listings, I will entertain offers of price and mix and match. You’ll have to message me. Photos are of the actual item. I bought the 19-issue Outlaw Nation, plus the preview comic (20 total) new when they came out and read them once, carefully. They are still like new. Jamie Delano is a steller writer and Glenn Fabry drew the covers. Artists Goran Sudžuka, Sebastijan Camagajevac and Goran Parlov drew the interior. The issues ran from 2000-2002. The December 2001 issue has a 1-page tribute from DC Comics to all 9/11 victims and 1st responders. All 3 More Than Mortal Saga comics are NM and 1st printings, 1998 Liar Comics. Issues 1A and 2A are variant covers, and 3 had no variant. I’m the original owner. Beautiful color paintings within and on the covers by acclaimed comic artist Romano (Molenaar), credited as painter. No ads within except for other Liar Comics offerings. A fantasy story featuring Cormac, a historical character, and Finn, an legendary Irish figure who might have been real. I bought the 1997 Bloody Mary Lady Liberty comics new and read them once. They all VF/NM and 1st printings. From legendary Hellblazer writer Garth Ennis and artist Carlos Ezquerra. I bought the Ren & Stimpy Show Special Comics as collectibles when they 1st came out. The logo on the 1996 Round the World in a Daze is “Marvel Absurd.” Ren & Stimpy travel around the world and then present quizzes and games that promote knowledge of world countries. The 1995 EEnterateeve special is just that, full of fun activities of every kind for kids. The Christmas special has stories with Christmas themes. These Marvel comics don’t have the John K. influence that made the original Ren & Stimpy not exactly tame for children, as much as I love him and the original Ren & Stimpy. These specials have no ads inside, except the Round the World comic has an ad shown on the back cover, for another Marvel issue. These are not all of the R&S Specials, there are a few more. I also include a popular issue, no. 27, which does have ads within, but I’ll cover the difference between media and ground advantage, which should be very little. I bought the Marvel/New Universe Psi-Force comics over time and didn’t read them all, at most the 1st few. I didn’t take them out of the archival sleeves with backing boards to photograph. They are all like new. Issues 1-10 and Annual 1 have the New Universe logo rather than a barcode, #11 has a “The Year of the Reader” logo, #16 has a Spiderman logo, common for Marvel comics, 17-22 and 24, 25 have no logo or barcode rectangle, 23, 26-32 have barcodes. 33 comics total. They ran from Nov. 1986 – June 1989. New Universe was an imprint from Marvel Comics that was published in its original incarnation from 1986 to 1989. It was the first line produced by Marvel Comics utilizing a preconceived shared universe concept. It was created by Jim Shooter, Archie Goodwin, Eliot R. Brown, John Morelli, Mark Gruenwald, Tom DeFalco, and edited by Michael Higgins. This was to be a distinctly separate world, fully divorced from the mainstream continuity of the Marvel Universe, consisting of its own continuing characters and stories in a more realistic setting. Adding to the sense of realism, the New Universe titles were designed to operate in real-time: a month would lapse in the universe for each month that passed in reality. The limitation of fantasy elements, and the low-key nature of the characters’ activities in the New Universe, gave the imprint verisimilitude, to seem like “the world outside your window”, which was the imprint catchphrase. The set is over 6 pounds, the price reflects the shipping overage compared to the shipping I charge for the sets here, also since the issues have ads and I can’t use media shipping. The 3 Marvel Select 1995 one shot prestige format 68-page comics are 1st printings and exquisitely painted. They contain and celebrate golden age titles long discontinued. They have acetate covers front and back that have the title and logo on the front and the synopsis on the back that when opened up reveal the covers art unadorned. The selected notable stories are standalone. Editor in chief is Tom DeFalco. The covers are card stock and the interiors feature computer-generated, high-end color separations printed on glossy stick.Tales to Astonish stars the Incredible Hulk, Hank Pym and the Wasp, written by Peter David. Cover by John Estes. Strange Tales has The Thing, Dr. Strange and the Human Torch, written by Kurt Busiek with art by Ricardo Villagran.Tales of Suspense features Captain America and Iron Man, written by James Robinson and art by Colin MacNiel. The 3 books together are over a pound but they have no ads so I can use media mail. These are unsold inventory from a store I closed in 1995. The Black Dragon is an acclaimed 6-issue comic book series written by prolific and acclaimed British-American comic writer Chris Claremont, with art by notable British artist John Bolton, published by Epic Comics in 1985. It’s a medieval fantasy of magic and encroaching evil set in England shortly after the Norman Conquest. The main character is a John Constantine of sorts, possessing powers, aware of elementals, and companion of the Black Dragon spirit. Claremont’s voluminous text and Bolton’s inspirational and superbly controlled artwork transport you back to the time of legend. I bought these new and am the only reader of them. I can offer media mail since each issue only has 1 ad for another Epic Comics title, such as Elfquest. Epic Comics was one of the many imprints Marvel used primarily for creator-owned work. Comics published by Epic did not need to meet the requirements of the Comics Code. The imprint lasted from 1982 to 1996. The New Archies comics were my daughter’s, bought new and read once by her. They are like new. I didn’t take them out of their protection to photograph. The set has every issue made. They ran from Nov. 1987 – May 1990. The TV show of the same name came out the same year, 1987. The set is over 3 pounds, the price reflects the shipping overage, since they have ads and I can’t use media shipping, compared to the shipping I charge for the other sets here. The Young Master issues are like new except the 1st one has some mild bends long the bottom right corner, I may have dropped it. All are published by NCG – New Comics Group. I have Young Master 4-6 out of the 9 issue series, from May 1988 to October 1988. The series was created by and #4 written by Larry Yakata with art by Val Mayerik. Issue 4 contains the continuing saga of the Young Master, set in “old Japan”, plus has a written story called “Old Japan” by Valarie Jones, and a haunting pictorial story, no words, called “Winterbeast”, drawn by Val Mayerik. Issue 5 story is written by Chuck Dixon with the same artist, has some pages from the sketchbook of Val Mayerik, and another story “Wind” by Roger McKenzie. Issue 6 is written by Chuck Dixon with art by Alex Nino, plus a story “Fever” by Roger McKenzie and art by Val Mayerik, who also did the cover. World of Young Master, Special #1, has stories “Demon Blade” and “Crimson Legacy” written by Chuck Dixon with art by Alex Nino. Inside it states “This issue introduces the Demonblade; Special Preview of Demonblade #1 debuts in its own series in May.” (1989) This a standalone title. The back cover advertises the subsequent comic series “The Master”, stating “He’s not young anymore,” using the same image as the back cover of Young Master #5. I have here also Book 1 of The Master, with a synopsis “The Story thus far…”, with the writing/art team of Chuck Dixon and Val Mayerik. This issue has heavier cover paper, a more prestigious one. The back cover of The Master 1 is the same image that is on the cover of Young Master 9, the last issue of the series. Only this and Book 2 of The Master were published. The Knight of Swords is the 1st book in the Chronicles of Corum trilogy. It is adapted here into the 12 issue comic series. The 1989 four issue adaptation of the first book in the second volume of Michael Moorcock’s Corum cycle, The Bull and the Spear represents the final mini-series adapting Moorcock’s work produced by First Comics before the company folded. Cyberpunk Book Two is set in a dystopian future. In previous Book One, Topo had triumphed over Roi and freed former lover Juno. In this subsequent Book, Juno is running the corporation that Roi built, but Topo has gone missing. A colorful group is assembled to solve the mystery. I bought the Son of Mutant World, a sequel to Mutant World, new as they came out and am the only reader of them.
